This is was a VERY distressed house when it was bought. The previous tenants (lots of them!) had completely abused this property over many years and it was quite a state, but nothing that 5 skips load of rubbish and some elbow grease couldn't solve, but that was just to get it into a position to be able to bring people around...

This property was brought to us through a friend and it’s been a problem for the owner for several years.  Problem properties are often the best ones as they generally require creative solutions, which we’re great at.  We came up with a solution that worked well for everyone and acquired the property.

The actual property is massive, consisting of a 6500 sqft main house and an 800 sqft garden annexe, as well as a triple car port, all sitting on 0.8 acres.

The plan for this is for a complete refurbishment and then sell, although if there’s a possibility of a quick sale to still make a decent profit then that’s always on the cards.  CGIs were created to give any prospective buyer the opportunity to see what it could look like when finished.

Watch this space…

UPDATE – sadly this one didn’t quite go to plan.  Following the horrendous Liz Truss budget the market stagnated and threw everything up in the air as it was unclear for 9 months when the increase in interest rates would end.  This completely destroyed the strategy and is something that could never have been foreseen.  We ended up selling the property on for someone else to carry on with.

So while this didn’t pan out as planned, that’s life, no developer has success on every single project, sometimes events completely out of your control throw a spanner in the works.  Onwards and upwards!!
